What is a zine?
A zine is a collection of artistic works (mostly written/drawn) all centered around a theme. This zine is specifically a fanzine, which means it is made by fans and for fans who all follow the theme of the zine. It’s comparable to a book or magazine!Who can apply?

The zine will be accepting 30+ artists and 5 merch artists, excluding guests.Can I apply for more than one position?

All contributors are guaranteed a high-def PDF of the zine and digital merch. Should the zine go physical, contributors may receive a physical copy of the zine and merch based on profits/sales!
On top of this, each contributor will receive one Twitch/Youtube sub of a QSMP creator of their choice!Will this zine include spoilers?
Creators are allowed to include spoilers.Will the zine allow AUs?
No, AUs will not be allowed. This will strictly focus on the world building of the QSMP server.Will the zine allow ships?
Isla y Ovos will allow an exploration of canon romantic, familial and platonic relationships between characters of the QSMP.
While the zine will be allowing ship art, this zine is not solely focused on ships! We will also not tolerate any arguments over shipping characters in our Discord server.For any unanswered questions

GENERAL GUIDELINES
Contributors should have a discord account or be willing to create one. Contributors will be required to join the server as it is our main method of communication.
All contributors are expected to meet deadlines or communicate with mods in the event extensions are needed.
Contributors are expected to act in a cordial manner with one another. This doesn’t mean that you have to be professional, but it means that you should be respectful and willing to work.
Contributors are expected to not reveal the pieces they have created for the zine on social media or streaming sites unless directed to by the mod team for zine promotional purposes or until all zines have been shipped.
Contributors are expected to not trace or plagiarism, nor should applicant portfolio include any unoriginal work belonging to another creator.
Applicants must be ages 16 or up by the date in which application results are released on 14 August 2023.
All links within your application or portfolio must be visible to the mods. Should the mods be unable to access your portfolio, your application will unfortunately be dismissed.
PAGE ARTIST GUIDELINES
In your application, you must submit a portfolio with upwards of five fully illustrated pieces.
At least one of these should have a background.
Your pieces are not to be sketches, nor are they to be uncolored.
Mods will be judging based on aspects such as lighting, coloring, anatomy, style, and more.
AT LEAST ONE work from QSMP will be required.
Traditional works of art are allowed, but they must be scanned properly.
NSFW content should not be included in your portfolio or samples.
Works containing trigger warnings (ie. gore,violence, etc) should be appropriately labeled in the title.
MERCH ARTIST GUIDELINES
In your application, you must submit a portfolio with upwards of five fully illustrated pieces.
At least one of these should be a merch design that you’ve done.
Your pieces should be completed and your portfolio should not include WIPs, uncolored pieces, or any other unfinished works.
Your pieces should also be original.
Mods will be judging based on aspects such as: style, coloring, and more.
AT LEAST ONE work from QSMP will be required, but it does not have to be a merch design.
NSFW content should not be included in your portfolio or samples.
Works containing trigger warnings (ie. gore,violence, etc) should be appropriately labeled in the title.
WRITER GUIDELINES
In your application, you must submit a portfolio with at least 3 written samples.
At least one of these should be a character analysis.
Your pieces should be between less than 2000 words.
Your pieces should be original.
Your pieces do not need to be complete; we only need writing samples.
AT LEAST ONE work from QSMP is required.
NSFW content should not be included in your portfolio or samples.
Please submit links that are visible to the public/the mods. If your pieces are not visible, we will not accept you.In your application, you must submit a portfolio with upwards of five fully illustrated pieces.
